The birth of the band officially dates back to November 2010. While touring around Eastern Europe, Lucass (drums) and Sirius (voc) decided to start a fun-based band together: its mission was ‘to destroy with sound’, its genre – grindcore, its name – GNIDA. The works on the first studio record have begun shortly after and as a consequence of the fruitful collaboration, the first child, entitled “S.Y.F.” was born…
Released in 2012, 15-minute-long, super-intense record made the band go live a year later, resulting with GNIDA playing at Wacken Open Air 2013… as their 5th show!
4 years later, the second mini-album “A.I.D.S.” has been released. Recorded at 3 different studios in Poland and Norway, this record is a true display of extreme power and speed. Currently “A.I.D.S.” is ‘SOLD OUT’.
Yet another 4 years have passed and the urge to publish the final piece of the puzzle – the 3-rd mini-album, has again pushed the band into various recording studios, Norwegian Black Note Studio being the dominant one in the process. As a result of it all, “R.A.K.” was born – 16 raw-sounding, super-groovy, extreme bits that would later on take the majority of space in GNIDA’s live performances.
This record was mixed without nearly any processing at all and the person responsible for its big, fat sound is Alan Douches at West West Side Music Studios, NY, USA, who took care of the mastering.
With “R.A.K.” GNIDA has officially closed their mini-album trilogy.
